What is Crane used for (All kinds of Jobs done by Cranes)?

Cranes are incredibly useful machinery. They are used all over the world in many different ways and allow people to do things which would otherwise be impossible to do.

 While the basic purpose of tower cranes remains the same there are many variations and different types of cranes are made for different purposes. Crane isn’t the name of a machinery, it is the name of a type of machinery and many different types of cranes come under the umbrella of ‘crane’.

The basic use of a crane is to lift heavy weights and transport them to different levels and places in a construction site. This is why cranes are used most of the time and this is why you will always see cranes in a construction site.

Another type of crane is the mobile crane. These cranes are called mobile cranes because they have wheels, they are used for excavation and rescue purposes. For example if some rocks fall and they need to be immediately removed a mobile crane would be used. The downside is that they cannot lift too much weight since they do not have a fixed base.

Cranes are also used to build bridges and ports, these types of cranes are called floating cranes because they float on water while working.
